SPCC vs BCCC Ballantyne Chasers won the toss and invited Southpark to bat first on a nice day. The decision proved costly as Southpark motored along and scored a formidable 357 in their allotted 35 overs. The score proved too much for the Ballantyne Chasers and they collapsed for 109 in 19.3 overs. Vihang and Rupesh started for Southpark in familiar fashion with Vihang going rock steady at one end and Rupesh striking the ball cleanly. Rupesh was the first one to go for a brisk 41 but he was replaced by Mayank who was relentless with his hitting and scored a quick fire 80 off 47 balls. Vihang on the other end scored another half century and ended up with 73 off 57. Vishnu playing his first game made a solid 31 and perished in trying to up the run rate. Then came Neeraj who took the balling attack head on and carted 53 runs in just 20 balls. He was aptly supported by Hiren from the other end scoring 42 off just 18. Southpark ended with 357 in 35 overs after losing 7 wickets. Ballantyne Chasers started nervously against the swing of Ankit and it was not long before Ankit had removed the top three with less than 20 runs on the board. Ankit struck twice more and finished the demolition job of Ballantyne Chasers’ top order by picking up 5 of the top 6 wickets in a 5 over spell. It was an uphill task from there on for Chasers and all the other Southpark bowlers chipped away with bundling them out for only 109 runs. Ankit was awarded the Man of the Match for this five-fer.
